It’s Official: Romulus Signs Non-
Aggression Pact with Dominion

San Francisco, Earth: Starfleet Intelligence has
confirmed that the Romulan Senate has signed a non-
aggression pact with the Dominion.
“It is not an alliance,” cautions Federation Councilman
Dev Narson of Trill. “It is simply a non-aggression pact.
Clearly Romulus is hoping that if the Dominion attack
Federation and Klingon space, it will weaken our forces
so that they may take over later.”
However, Starfleet Intelligence takes a more dim view of
the issue. “The wording of the treaty is such that
Dominion forces may take refuge in Romulan space,”
says Vice Admiral Arvin Sloan, the Director of Starfleet
Intelligence. “This opens a new door in any conflict we
may face against the Dominion. It will allow the
Dominion to perform hit and run maneuvers all along
strategic areas of the Romulan Neutral Zone and the
Klingon/Romulan Border. And if our ships cross over
the border to follow any attacking Dominion ships, it
would invoke a Romulan response.”
“It’s just another problem that needs to be solved,” says
Admiral William Hathaway, the Director of Starfleet
Strategic Affairs. “The Dominion is getting all their
ducks in a row. But we have a few ducks of our own.”
On Earth, the Romulan Ambassador to the Federation
reported that the Romulan government will release a
statement later in the week commenting on the treaty.
