Federation Ambassador Discovered to be Founder

Uri, Bolaris IX: The Earth Ambassador to Bolarus was discovered yesterday to
be an impostor. The whereabouts of Ambassador Jack Gordon are still
unknown. Authorities discovered the Founder in a random blood test taken
upon the entrance to the Earth embassy here in Uri. How long the impostor
has been filling in as the Ambassador is unclear at this juncture.
“Our investigation is just getting started,” said Lt. Jaran Felix of the Bolian
Commercial Security Force, the planetary law enforcement agency of Bolaris
IX. “We’ve asked Federation Security to assist with the investigation both
here and on Earth.”
“It makes sense, from an espionage point-of-view,” says novelist and former
Starfleet Intelligence operative Nathanial Grey. “Ambassador Gordon was not
married and had no immediate family; nobody that could easily detect who or
what he really was.”
Federation Security has denied comment as they are just starting their
investigation. However, reports indicate that Ambassador Gordon had visited
Pacifica, Earth and Alpha Centari recently. The Ambassador’s residence in
Crystal City, Earth, have been sealed for inspection, as well as his office in
San Francisco.
“Starfleet and the Federation just don’t have the security resources yet to
ensure everyone is not a Founder,” Grey goes on to say. “Right now, all we
can be sure of is the (Federation) Council members, the Starfleet Chiefs of
Staff and a few others. They are the only ones checked several times a day.”
