December 25, 2373
San Francisco, Earth: The President of the Federation
Council resigned his office effective immediately in
protest to the declaration of war against the Dominion
and Cardassian Empire.
“I find the apparent absolution of war distasteful and feel
that not all peaceful avenues were followed in the path
that was set before us.” The former President
commented while border the shuttle to his homeland.
It is unclear who the Federation Council will vote in to
replace the President. Speculation points to the first Trill
representative, Councilman Jilad Tala, a former Starfleet
Admiral and veteran of the Federation / Cardassian war
in the 2340’s.
