Federation Second Fleet Suffers Loss at Tigotta

USS Andromeda: The Federation Second Fleet suffered a loss of 22 starships
after encountering a large force of Jem’Hadar ships in the Tigotta system.
Included in the loss was the Galaxy class starship USS Citadel with all hands,
or 1043 people. The Andromeda also suffered major damage but was able to
withdraw with the remainder of the fleet.
Admiral T’Lara placed the blame on the loss on herself but Starfleet Command
disagreed and kept the Admiral at her post. Outgunned 12 to 1, the Second
Fleet took out 5 Jem’Hadar battleships and over 30 Jem’Hadar fighters before
the withdraw order was given. The Second Fleet is headed to undisclosed
coordinates for repairs.
