If you are looking for a vacation with all the amenities but a little bit of an edge to it, consider the
Neutral Zone on New Vegas.  This world class resort is built on the foundations of an old pirate
rendezvous site.  In fact, you’re likely to see a few old pirates sunning themselves by the pools or
preparing to board one of several gourmet buffets.  If you haven’t heard of New Vegas before, you’re
not alone.  Until recently this moon orbiting a gas giant in the Orion Crylos sector was called Adras.
New owners (of the whole moon, not just the resort) have upgraded the name, the resort, and believe
it or not, the whole moon.  New Vegas brings new meaning to the word new.  The planet offers
spectacular vistas featuring Crylos V and several of its other moons, as well as New Vegas’s own
satellite.

The resort amenities are top of the line fron luxurious rooms and gourment food to temperature
controlled pools and an incredibily talented singer named Olivia.  In a lot of ways, Olivia mirrors the
Neutral Zone and New Vegas: she’s beautiful and gifted, full of secrets and previously undiscovered.
In both cases, once you get a taste, you’ll find yoursel
f coming back for more.

New Vegas is covered by a remnant of the original Organian Peace Treaty that prevents all
intentional harm.  This gives the planet a unique protective environment so even the bitterest
enemies can vacation in perfect safety.  That what made the planet a safe place for smugglers,
pirates and assorted rogues to meet and transact business.  Today Orion government officials,
syndicate lords and Federation negotiators gather on New Vegas for the same reasons. It’s not hard
to see why the Federation just opened a consulate under Consul General Carla Sue Hawksley.
Expect to see more governments following with official offices soon.

Adras was a dry, unfriendly place not long ago.  In February, the planets owners launched a
terraforming campaign that has created an ocean and brought rains to the parched landscape.  Under
the guidance of Alex Nechayev, immigrant Mirror Universive version of late Starfleet CMDR Tiberius
Pike, the planet is being pulled to the peak of Class M perfection in short order.  In what is the most
romantic gesture this reporter has ever seen, chief terraformer created Paradise Beach to give his
bride to be the wedding of her dreams.  The locale is just one of the stunning settings where you can
hold your own wedding or other special event.

The Neutral Zone boasts a state of the art casino and more dining rooms and bars than one can easily
count and several entertainment venues from a cozy cabaret to a spacious auditorium.  The talented
Olivia can easily pack any of them, so look for the times when you can catch her in the cabaret for a
more intimate experience.  Resort general manager Quark take a personal interest in every guest
and brings the unique charm that made him a fixture at Deep Space 9 to this new venture.  He is co-
owner of the resort and planet with a collection of former Starfleet officers (some Mirror, some Prime,
but all interesting characters with plenty of history) Julia Torne, Riley Connor, Ursalina, Talia
Nechayev, Thomas Riker and Harry Kim.  New Vegas is home to more Mirror Universe immigrants
than any other planet.  It has been the site of most of the major negotiations between the Federation
and Orion governments in the last year.  A recent revive fleet of ancient Orions has declared  their
intention to forge a new Orion Republic there.  While in Orion space, the planet is licensed as a
Ferengi outpost and has an independent alliance with the Orion Republic.
